This symmetrical piece was made to honor the colors and textures of "land", mostly featuring the greens and browns of a forest. The grid is a combination of circles and arcs with straight lines, and I incorporated glazing into some of the patterns. I chose to put in a lot of texture and quite a few inserts and dots to give the painting more character. I "tidied it up" by putting cross-lines on the diagonals and midpoints edge-to-edge.
