I have done several paintings exploring the many ways to lay down the ROYGBIV color spectrum on a canvas. I had done a few paintings in this doodle-like pattern, including a quartet of pieces in purples for my daughter's room. In fact, my daughter was the one who showed me this pattern, having herself learned it from a high school teacher who later succumbed to cancer. For my daughter, seeing this pattern reminds her of the good person that this teacher was and the way the teacher used to doodle this pattern in her class to add some beauty to her room. I used her basic pattern, but put a "prismatic" twist to it to conform to the ROYGBIV color spectrum.
