The grid for this painting was done entirely with a geometric compass, so none of the lines are actually straight. I did the piece in blues, greens, teals and golds, and when it was done, it looked like a Mother Earth kind of thing. So I named it "Gaia" in honor of the Greek goddess of Earth and the "mother of all life".
