This painting is all about warmth and radiance. I used dozens of golds, yellows, oranges, reds and browns in it, and laid down a pattern using only a geometric compass which produces circular patterns and non-linear edges. There are "inserts" in many of the middle panels, and when it was done it reminded me of an Aztec sun.
