Piet Mondrian was a revolutionary Dutch artist who challenged and reshaped the notions of what made art beautiful. Known for his geometric grids filled with blue, yellow, red, and black squares, Mondrian was the inspiration behind many of my first works. Rather than staying within the confounds of primary colors however, I experimented with different hues within the same color family or paired multiple colors together.
