The Rolling Hills of Kentucky

A colleague challenged me to step out of my geometric comfort zone a bit and do a piece that captures the landscape of the Bluegrass region in central Kentucky where we both live. There are plenty of geometrically ordered elements in this painting, but I added three hills of “bluegrass” to depict the gentle rolling topography of our region. The white picket fence represents the many beautiful horse farms of the region.
