Orange Askew

I had the idea of making smaller paintings that could rotate in and out of a prominent place in the family room, varying with seasons or holidays.  The idea here was to lay down concentric rectangles but then to purposely make them uneven, to give a distorted feeling to the piece.  My attempt on this one was for a Halloween-themed piece (hence the oranges and blacks), but it turned out a bit more Dr. Seuss-like according to Julia. Still, I love how it looks like a Twilight Zone introductory scene, and it has made it, in October, in the family room rotation.
