Nature Boy

I painted this picture using a combination of straight lines and curved lines that were laid down with a geometric compass. I relied heavily on transparent colors for this, and "bounced the brush" to give those segments texture. When it all came together, it reminded me of the earthtone colors seen in nature. I find that the textured transparent colors seem to glow from within.
