Jungle Geometry

"Jungle Geometry" is meant to highlight the relationship between abstract geometric patterns and the layered complexity of a jungle, emphasizing the many shades of greens and browns abundant in that ecosystem. The painting’s arrangement of shapes and vibrant green and earthy hues reflect a natural order found within rainforest environments, where everything—flora, fauna, shadow, and light—interacts in harmonious yet dynamic patterns. Geometric patterns reference the inherent order present in the jungle, echoing how leaves, branches, and even the paths of rivers arrange themselves in mathematically grounded—but visually surprising—ways.  The painting considers the inevitable collision between the random wildness of the untamed natural world and the regulating structures found in both nature and mathematics. It invites viewers to consider the hidden systems that give rise to biodiversity and beauty with patterns reminiscent of canopies, tangled vines, rocky outcrops and dappled sunlight. Textural differences are meant to evoke the tactile richness of jungle terrain. My hope is that viewers of this painting will consider how organic chaos can resolve into harmonious order, much like the jungle itself.
