I got the idea of doing a painting all in triangles, but with a gradient of different sizes going from the smallest to the largest toward the center of the painting. The canvas conforms to the "golden ratio" (1.618) which derives from the Fibonacci sequence in which each number is equal to the sum of the preceding two numbers, and can be found in many things in nature. I chose the blues and yellows and whites of the DanceBlue philanthropic organization that has been a partner to pediatric oncology at the University of Kentucky where I work. When it was all done and I stood back and considered it, it reminded me of a geodesic dome in some ways, so I called it "Geodesic DanceBlue".
