Forest Bathing

I wanted to combine greens, browns and golds into a piece , and filled in a circlular and linear grid with many different hues of those colors. I used many “transparent acrylics”, bouncing a gnarly old brush to give texture so that some of the shapes would appear back lit. There are dozens of colors in here, and I ended up finishing the piece by stamping on circular dabs of acrylic paint in key places to give interest. The finished piece somehow reminded me of the variety of the sights, textures and feel of a forest, so I named it “Forest Bathing”
