This painting was made with my sister Pamela in mind. She has always loved music, and has played piano since she was a child. Recently, she has become very active in writing and performing original music. A talented and highly creative person, she is energized by sharing her musical talents with others. When she told me that she was buying a new matte black grand piano, and putting into a remodeled room with olive green furniture, I decided I’d try to generate a picture that might complement that space. This painting was made using a grid composed of a mixture of circles and straight lines, filled in with at least 25 greens, golds and neutrals. I hope she (and her husband) like it, and that she will draw inspiration for her own creativity from the piece.
