Deco Blues and Browns

I had just finished “Denim Daisy”, and figured that I should do another piece using all the custom colors I had blended before they dried up and were unusable. Sarah (my wife) and I really like how blues and browns go together, so why not paint this palette on a different grid. For this painting, I got the idea to put stripes within some of the larger shapes on the perimeter. They took most of one entire weekend to do, but I like how they turned out. My daughter said “Dad, that looks so art deco”, so that’s how the name of this came about.
