Bluegrass Landscape

I offered to do a painting for my dear friend Scott and his wife Gretchen, and told them to take a look at the website and see what they liked. They chose "Rolling Hills of Kentucky", a painting that took me out of my comfort zone some time before and that I gave to a colleague at work. Of course, no two paintings are ever exactly alike, but I duplicated alot of elements from "Rolling Hills of Kentucky" in "Bluegrass Landscape". I had a lot of fun with the "land" part of the painting (I hope I didn't go too far with the bling!), and there are at least 3 dozen distinct hues of blue in the sky. The white picket fence is intended to pay homage to the many beautiful horse farms in the Bluegrass, place where I now call home. I hope they enjoy the piece.
