The Natural Elements- Land

I was inspired to do a series celebrating the "natural elements" of classical antiquity- Earth (Land), Water, Air (Wind), Fire and Space. I used matching sized canvases but tried to envision each element on its own, realizing that each is integral to the natural world in which we live. With "Land", my vision was that of the Earth being bullt from layers starting from a fiery core and proceeding to a verdant crust.
