Shades of Gray

Perhaps because I had just done 3 separate rainbow prisms, I longed for the simplicity of neutral colors. So it was back to my wheelhouse of a symmetric grid on a square canvas. Symmetry and complementary shades of neutrals were my goals. I intended to produce an achromatic geometric painting with "Shades of Grey”, but in fact, there is a hint of yellow in the "parchment" color. Overall, however, it appeared to me as a whole lot of "shades of grey".
