With this piece, I envisioned the prism going round and round the canvas blending from one color to the next. I chose a black line to highlight the rows and columns, and decided to keep the blocks of color all going in the same direction. One person commented on how it reminded her of a “heat map” that you might see in a scientific paper, so I was tempted to call it “Rainbow Heat Map”, but in the end went with “Rainbow Millipede”.
