I had originally intended "Aqua X" to be a part of the Rainbow Deconstructed series, but my daughter liked it for her new apartment when she started medical school, so I painted a second aqua painting on the 13 in x 21 in Fibonacci format for the deconstructed series. Almost a year had gone by between the two paintings, and in the interim I explored non-linear, circular lines, which are incorporated into this piece. Looking at the two paintings side by side, it is interesting how different each is from the other despite using more or less the very same colors.
