Prism in 92 Colors

18 in x 24 in

01/2020

This was my first painting that sold. I entered it into an employee art call where I work (at UK HealthCare), and it was one of two of mine chosen for an exhibition at the Louden House where the Lexington Art League is based. UK HealthCare bought at the end of the exhibition. The funniest part of the story on this painting was that Sarah, Julia and I counted the number of colors many times before we could all agree that there were in fact 92 distinct linear hues. My vision for this piece was a gradual rainbow of colors in the ROYGBIV tradition but with all manner of hues for each color.
