I was thinking of a central star pattern, framed by an ethereal and expanding radiant pattern and inserts to complement the center, all surrounded by a rim that mimics a frame. It went through a few different iterations. I sort of forgot about it, tucked it away in the basement closet, but a few years after I first painted it, I got it out and I did some revamping of it, adding complexity and insets to (hopefully) improve it.
