This was the second of my paintings done to call attention to racial injustice in our society. Using the many colors of human skin and hair pigmentation, I have attempted to make something beautiful out of the patchwork of different human complexions. Together we are more than any one of us, and we all fit together like pieces of a puzzle. I donated this to the 2021 Women in Medicine silent auction at the University of Kentucky.
